Hospital superintendent Dr. Rajiv Deveshwar said around 5000 OPD is there in the hospital and around 1500 patients are attended indoor. In such case ambulances are necessary to move patients to other hospitals and also help families to take the dead bodies to their native places. However the private ambulance owners charge hefty money from them. In order to stop it we decide to start prepaid ambulance service shortly at our hospital.

He further added that the service will charge money as per kilometers from the people. Thunder process is already underway and decide to keep the charge 7 to 8 rupees per kilometer. He said such type of service is first in Gujarat.

The private ambulance charged as per they decide and many complaints were recieved in this regard by the administration. The prepaid ambulance service is to help the families and patients from getting robbed by such private ambulance operators.
