Aims to treat patients through ancient practices of Ayurveda

Starting a new era of world class Ayurvedic therapy in eye Care, Sreedhareeyam Ayurvedic hospital is setting it's first hospital in Vadodara to treat patients through ancient practices of Ayurveda. Since 1999 the hospital is known for eye treatments with authentic Ayurvedic methods.

By launching an all new Ayurvedic Eye Care Hospital in Vadodara, Sreedhareeyam hopes to revolutionise the eye care and wellness arena in Gujarat. With both inpatient and outpatient services, the hospital will be equipped with ultra-modern diagnostic equipment and highly qualified doctors. The traditional roots of Ayurveda, combined with the world class facilities

and personnel will give the eye patients in Gujarat access to very best that India has to offer.

"The treatment is purely ayurvedic and we use ultramodern equipments to diagnose the ailments in patients. Since decades our team of doctors treat over one lakh patients for their eye ailments and now aims to spread out and open nearly 100 centres in next three years. This is our first centre in Gujarat and will open in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Haryana and Amritsar in near future," said Sreejith Namboothiri Executive director Sreedhareeyam.

Sreedhareeyam has successfully leveraged three centuries of traditional Ayurvedic wisdom inherited from Nelliakkattu Mana, an illustrious Namboothiri family in Kerala known for Ayurvedic Netra Chikilsa. The vaidyans (physicians) of the mana were renowned for expertize in Ayurveda in general and especially poison remedies from more than 4 centuries ago.

As modern technological advancements began to take shape with the evolvement of allopathic methods, the physicians of the mana explored options to take professional training and also find ways to get introduced to the technology revolution. Thus they excelled in the modern diagnostic methods and modern disease descriptions, bringing the best of both worlds together for the benefit of ophthalmology as a science.

With over 23 Ayurvedic eye care centres across India, Sreedhareeyam offers high quality treatment for ailments like Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Astigmatism, Optic Neuropathy, Diabetic Retinopathy and other eye diseases irrespective of age. Sreedhareeyam centres are now operating in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Jaipur, Kochi, Coimbatore and many other Indian towns and cities.

The head office and hospital at Koothatukulam, Kerala has received the prestigious NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare providers) accreditation. The NABH accreditation means stringent quality control ano‘standardization of patient services that improves patient care. Sreedhareeyam was recognized as a Centre of Excellence by AYUSH Ministry of Government of India in order to expand the diagnostic capacities of the centre and also to develop scientific lines in eye disease research and development.

Sreedhareeyam is also planning to bolster their pan-lndian presence by Opening over a 100 eye care centres across the country.
