US Open: Casper Ruud beat Matteo Berrettini to reach semifinal

Ruud beat Matteo Berrettini to become the first Norwegian man to reach the semifinal in New York last night. 

Fifth seed Ruud, who reached the French Open final in June, defeated 13th-seeded Italian Berrettini in the quarterfinal at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. 

In the semifinal, Ruud will face either Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios or Russian Karen Khachanov.
