Taipei Open Badminton: HS Prannoy to play quarterfinal match

In the Taipei Open Badminton tournament, Indian Shuttler and third seed HS Prannoy will play the men's singles quarterfinal match against Angus K.L. Ng of Hong Kong in Taipei today. Prannoy powered into the quarterfinals yesterday defeating Indonesia's Tommy Sugiarto, 21-9, 21-17.

Prannoy is the only Indian challenge left as Parupalli Kashyap lost to Chinese Taipei’s Su Li Yang in Men's Singles pre-quarterfinals yesterday.

Tanya Hemanth also bowed out losing to top seed Tai Tzu Ying in the Round of 16.
