In the ICC Men's T-20 Cricket World Cup, Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Wade played unbeaten knocks of 40 and 41 respectively as Australia defeated Pakistan by five wickets to enter the final at Dubai International Stadium tonight.

Wade finished the game with three back-to-back sixes off Shaheen Shah Afridi to finish the game with an over to spare and five wickets in hand. Matthew Wade was declared Player of the Match. Australia will now lock horns against New Zealand in the summit clash on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium.

Chasing a target of 177 runs, Australia made 177 for the loss of 5 wickets in the 19 overs. For Australia, David Warner also made 49 while Mitchell Marsh 28. For Pakistan, Shadab Khan took 4 wickets while Shaheen Shah Afridi 1 wicket.

Earlier, put in to bat first, Pakistan has set a target of 177 runs against Australia. Pakistan scored 176 for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For Pakistan Opener Rizwan top scored with 67 runs while Fakhar Zaman made 55 runs. For Australia, Mitchell Starc was the best bowler with his two wickets. Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa picked one wicket each. Earlier Australia won the toss and chose to ball first.
