On day six of the 2024 Paris Paralympics, Indian para-athlete Deepthi Jeenanji will feature in the women’s 400m T20 final event. Besides Mariyappan Thangavavelu, Sharad Kumar and Shailesh Kumar will compete in the men’s high jump T63 final round.

Ajeet Singh, Rinku, and Sundar Singh will also go for the men’s javelin throw F46 final.

In Para-archery, Archer Pooja will feature in the women’s recurve event. Earlier, in para-shooting, Avani Lekhara finished 5th  in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions final and failed to clinch a gold medal.

The other Indian shooter in the field, Mona Agarwal, also, could not clear the qualification hurdle and ended in the 13th position. In para-athletics, India’s Bhagyashri finished in fifth place with a best throw of 7.28 m in the women’s shot put F34 final. 

India is at the 15th spot in the medal tally with 15 medals, including three gold.
