In badminton, Lakshya Sen lost to Chou Tien-Chen of Chinese Taipei in the second round of the Arctic Open 300 in three games today.

Despite starting excellently in the match, the World No. 19 Indian lost 21-19, 18-21, 15-21 against Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tien-chen.

This loss for Sen also marks the end of India’s singles campaign in the tournament.

In the women’s singles, Unnati Hooda went up against Canada’s Michelle Li, a seasoned player, and despite a spirited fight in the second game, she lost 10-21, 19-21. Hooda’s performance in the second set showed resilience, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win.

Malvika Bansod faced a formidable challenge in Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon, a former world champion. Bansod struggled to match Intanon’s pace and precision, ultimately losing in straight games, 15-21, 8-21.

Both Indian women’s singles players put in commendable efforts, but their campaigns came to an end in the Round of 16.
