In IPL Cricket, Chennai Super Kings beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 23 runs at DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai last night. Put into bat first, Chennai posted 216 for four in stipulated 20 overs riding on top knocks by Shivam Dube and Robin Uthappa. Uthappa played his IPL career-best inning of 88 while Dube smashed a 95 not out off 46 balls as the pair made a big partnership of 165 runs to help Chennai make the highest total of IPL 2022.
For Bangalore, Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva scalped two wickets while Josh Hazlewood picked one. Chasing the mammoth target, Bangalore were restricted to 193 for 9 by Chennai as Maheesh Theekshana scalped four wickets and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets.
Shahbaz Ahmed top-scored for Bangalore with 41 off 27 balls.
