Put into bat, Punjab Kings scored 209 for 9 in stipulated 20 overs then restricted Bangalore to 155 for 9.
Punjab's Jonny Bairstow contributed blistering 66 off just 29 balls and Liam Livingstone made 70 off 42 while Kagiso Rabada picked up 3 wickets for 21.
Bangalore's Glenn Maxwell scored 35 while Harshal Patel picked up 4 wickets by giving away 34 runs. Jonny Bairstow adjudged player of the match.
