IPL 2022: PBKS defeated CSK on Sunday

In Cricket, Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai last night. Chasing a target of 181 runs, the CSK were bowled out for 126 in 18 overs. Shivam Dube smashed 57 runs off 30 balls but failed to take his side past the finishing line.

Rahul Chahar was in brilliant bowling form for the PBKS and took three wickets. Vaibhav Arora & Liam Livingstone took two wickets each, while Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh and Odean Smith scalped a dismissal each.

Liam Livingstone was declared the Player of the Match. Earlier, put into bat first, the Punjab Kings scored 180 for eight in the stipulated 20 overs, riding on Liam Livingstone's 60, Shikhar Dhawan's 33 runs and Jitesh Sharma's 26.

For Chennai Super Kings, Chris Jordan and Dwaine Pretorius took two wickets while Mukesh Choudhary, Dwayne Bravo, and Ravindra Jadeja scalped a dismissal each.

Today, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on the Lucknow Super Giants at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai at 7:30 pm.
