In the FIH Hockey Pro League India registered a spectacular win against the World Cup Champion Germany by 6-3 in the Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium, Rourkela in Odisha yesterday.
This is the second time that the host India trounced Germany in the pro league after defeating it by 3-2 last Friday.
This massive win of India against Germany is also being considered as the second biggest win by India over the reigning world champion by a record 8-1 goals way back in the 1936 Olympics. And with this, India has ascended to the top slot in the Pro League Points Table with 17 points followed by Spain.
On the other hand, Germany takes on Australia in the Birsa Munda stadium in Rourkela later in the evening today.
While Germany has already registered its first win against Australia in the on-going Pro League by 1-0 goals, Australia will try hard to give Germany a run for goals. India however has already won against Australia by 5-4 in the same stadium last Sunday.
