NDRF team engaged in rescue work in rain hit areas of Gujarat use their specialise training to reach unaccessible terrains to save people. In one such incident a team rushed to search for a boy drowned inside a artificial water lake formed by rains between the rocks.

As per details the NDRF received a call about a boy named Karan Joshi s/o Gautam Joshi, Age 20 years from Jayatri society, Hospital road Bhuj reported to be drowned at 4pm in the evening on Thursday. The incident site Near Purneshwar Mahadev temple falls under village, Palargunna taluka Nakhatrana district Kutchh.

“The area is about 35 to 40 ft in depth and seasonal water logging but due to surrounding topography become a attraction. Due to undulated and confined area NDRF Rescuers carrying the boat and OBM on their shoulders to reach the spot and started operation at the area with deep drivers.NDRF deep drivers and other team members are operating with water communication and Sonar system to trace the drowned victim.However due to darkness the operation has to called off and starts in morning on Friday,” said R.K. Mishra Deputy Commandant and PRO 06 BN NDRF.
He further added that strong command presence of NDRF and appropriately trained Rescuers, adequate resources and need base specialized equipments made easy to rush the incident site. The teams are well trained and equipped ultra modern equipments to tackle the situations and request people to not move out unnecessarily and risked their lives.
