Vadodara RTO office is functioning with special vigilance measures amidst Corona pandemic. Applicants and office workers who come for work including licence, driving tests and number plates are being admitted only through thermal screening. At the same time, vigilance is being maintained to ensure that social distance is not violated.
Incharge RTO Inspector A.M. Patel said that applicants would have to apply online and take an appointment to avail all the services of the RTO office. The visit to the office should be done half an hour before the given time so that the applicants do not congregate and social distance is maintained. The applicant will not have to come to the RTO office for faceless services. Everyone at the RTO is checked with a thermal gun for vigilance.
Sanitiser is mandatory and at present, work is being done with minimum number of applicants as per appointments to avoid gathering of crowd at the office. Maximum window system is introduced to avoid face contact and the staff make it a point to collect the applications and send the applicants back home immediately. They request everyone to wear masks, maintain social distancing and visit the office on given time to avoid rush and minimise the threat of transition of Covid 19.
