Special Vaccination Camp for Corona Warriors of print, electronic and digital media in Vadodara

117 Media Personnel Benefited from Vaccination and said everyone should get protection against corona by taking vaccination with confidence

Media personnel have been playing a positive role in coverage of Corona pandemic for more than a year now from since the first case in Gujarat. People from print, electronic and digital media are constantly working during this challenging time at the risk of their lives as frontline Corona Warriors. Applauding this, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani showed sensitivity and asked to make special arrangements for vaccination for media personnel of Vadodara.

Coordinating with Vadodara Municipal Corporation, Standing Committee Chairman Dr. Hitendra Patel and associates with the encouraging backing of former Mayor Sunil Solanki, Team BJP Vadodara and office bearers organised the camp at Sanstha Vasahat in view of the excellent services rendered by the media friends in times of crisis. As many as 117 media persons took advantage and took the first dose of the vaccine as a step towards protection against Corona.

Deputy Mayor Nanda Joshi, Chairman of the Standing Committee Hitendra Patel, Municipal Commissioner P. Swaroop, Health Officer Dr. Devesh Patel as well as corporation office bearers visited the place and review the arrangements.

Appreciating the excellent work done by the media personnel of Vadodara city as frontline warriors during Corona time, Dr. Hitendra Patel said that the state government is also concerned for the health of these media personnel just as they have practiced their religion without worrying about the family. The camp was organised so that journalist friends could be vaccinated against corona and perform their duties fearlessly. He also appealed to other citizens to take advantage of vaccination and build a safer society.

Municipal Commissioner P. Swaroop also requested the friends of the media to become brand ambassadors for vaccination and encourage maximum citizens for vaccination.

Expressing the view that vaccine is a perfect way to fight against corona, media personnel said that everyone should get vaccinated against corona with confidence. Jignesh Parikh and his colleagues worked hard to make this camp a success.
