Special train left for Uttar Pradesh from Vadodara

1200 UP
residents left for their home in a special train from Vadodara on Sunday. The
railway and district administration maintained social distancing and other
parameters to ensure the passengers board the train hassle free. All of them
are happy going back to their states after they stuck in the city due to the
lockdown.

According to
sources in the Collectorate, 674 people from Uttar Pradesh were stranded due to
lock-down in shelters in Vadodara city and district. Inspite of them students,
labourers, people doing jobs and business are also show their eagerness to
visit their state. In such situation District Collector took up the matter with
the Gujarat Government’s Nodal Officer for UP, Home Secretary of the Uttar
Pradesh Administration and the Railways. As a result, arrangements was made to
send around 1200 tourists to UP by train and on Sunday they all left for
Lucknow from Vadodara railway station.

The District
Collector instructed the Nodal Officer and the concerned officers to complete
all the necessary procedures to make the journey of these people easier and
convenient. On Sunday they all board the train from Vadodara to Lucknow.
Vadodara MP Ranjan Bhatt, MLA Seema Mohile and others interacted with them and
also flagged off the train from the station.

Social
distancing, sanitisation of the passengers was maintained by the district
administration at the platform to ensure following of rules. Secondly food
packets are also provided to the passengers during their journey towards
Lucknow.
