During the last many days, a special drive was carried out by the Vadodara City Police to take effective and result-oriented action against those who do not wear masks. The drive is to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and to create awareness among the people.
As part of which Vadodara city police formed separate teams of officers and employees in every police station area and carried out intensive checking on public roads. On 27th November a total of Rs. 14.22 lakhs was collected from 1422 persons for not wearing masks. 24 others cases were registered and action taken against 24 persons for violations of curfew and breach of declaration.
The police Commissioner appeals to the citizens of Vadodara to wear good compulsory masks and maintain social distance to prevent the spread of Covid 19 and to co-operate in enforcing the curfew. The drive will continue by the police to ensure strict enforcement of Covid 19 guidelines.
