Southwest Monsoon is likely to further advance into some more parts of Central Arabian Sea, Goa, some parts of Konkan, some more parts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and remaining parts of Tamil Nadu in the coming days. Met department said conditions are favourable for monsoon to advance to some parts of Central and North Bay of Bengal and some parts of Northeastern states.

Today, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very likely at isolated places over West Bengal, Odisha, and Andaman and Nicobar islands. Heavy rainfall is also likely in isolated places over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Assam and other northeastern states.

Strong wind is very likely over southwest and west central Arabian sea, south and east central Bay of Bengal. Squally weather is likely on and off Andhra Pradesh coast. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea over these areas.
