Son allege doctors of Gotri hospital for negligence

A patient undergoing treatment at the city’s Gotri Covid Center died during corona treatment. However the family alleged that the death was not due to corona, but due to lack of proper treatment. They demanded the body of the deceased for the funeral.

Gokulbhai Dattatray Patil, a resident of Brahman Falia in Fatepura Kalupura of the city, died while undergoing treatment for corona at Gotri Hospital.  The family members alleged that Gokulbhai’s death was not due to corona but due to negligence of the hospital.

They demand Gokulbhai’s body to be taken home for the funeral and threatened to stay in the hospital. However, as Gokulbhai died of corona, the hospital conduct proceedings for the funeral as per Covid 19 guideines.

Son of deceased Gokulbhai said, his father had a respiratory ailment and was admitted to a private hospital in Kalupur area by his family. He was taken to Gotri Hospital on Sunday as his health was deteriorating and the hospital did not have oxygen facilities.  As per guidelines his Corona test was conducted and report comes as negative. He was then admitted in the patients ward.

He further said that, the hospital also told them about the report comes as negative and his mother met him everyday. However last evening they called us to came to hospital with family and later after one hour informed about his death. They also informed that they would not get the body as per Covid 19 guidelines.

However he alleged that his father died due to the negligence of the doctors. If his reports are positive them how he was admitted in the negative ward.

Secondly his mother met him everyday and if she get the infection then who will be responsible. He demand action in the matter and demand to handover the body to him and till then will not left the premises.
