Solar panel to be installed in Chikhodara village for STP

Collector met villagers to discuss the benefits of the plant

A first of its kind initiative towards generating extra source of water for irrigation, a Sewage treatment plant was set up in Chikodara village under Vadodara taluka with the help from IOCL CSR funds.

Collector Shalini Agrawal visited the plant along with other officials and proposed a solar plant to run the STP. The step will help saving the electricity and use solar energy as pure source of energy to run the plant.

Collector also met the villagers to make them understand the benefits of the plant and also guide them to run it smoothly. She also discussed the source of sewage water coming inside the village and steps to stop it for a clean surrounding.

25th December is celebrated as Good Governance Day in India the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Gujarat Chief Minister might visit the village on the day to review the plant as model of village cleanliness governance.
