SOG arrested 3 along with two Mouzers and live cartridges in Vadodara

Vadodara SOG team arrested three persons from Wadi and city areas under Arms Act and recovered Two Mouzers, one Magazine, 12 round live cartridges and booked them for various offences. The SOG police is further investigating the matter about the source and the target.

Vadodara SOG on last night and on 13th November arrested three persons from two different areas of the city with Arms and ammunitions. In view of the historical Lord Narsinhji procession in the city on 14th November the police is look out for the antisocial elements and the persons having illegal arms with them.

On 12th the SOG get a tip about one Mohammad Aamir Mohammad Ayub Qureshi standing with Arms and ammunition inside the lane of Jamnabai Hospital. Acting on the tip Incharge SOG PI H.M. Vyas and his team reached the spot and arrested Mohammad Qureshi from there with local hand made pistol (Mouzer) worth 25,000, five live cartridges of 7.65 mm and booked him under Arms Act. The matter was registered in the Wadi police station.

During investigation police get the information about the alleged supplier Mirtajali Roshanali Sarkar resident of Haji Hamja Mohalla Nani Chipwad Vadodara. After getting the information about the supplier who supplied the arms and ammunition to Mohammad Qureshi, police arrested Mirtajali Sarkar on 13th November along with one magazine of local made pistol and three live cartridges of 7.65 mm from him.

In another case the Vadodara SOG arrested one Ravikant alias Lalo Jayantilal Sukhadia resident of Shaman Bechar Ni Pol for possessing illegal arms and ammunition. The police recovered one Mouzer and four live cartridges of 7.65 mm from him and a offence under Arms Act was registered against him in city police station.

The SOG is further investigating about where they brought the Arms and what is their next target or where they are going to use it. They also are trying to get into the base of the network.
