Social activist Atul Gamechi spread NOTA awareness wearing PPE kit in Vadodara

NOTA (None of the above) is an important part of the election process, and the Election Commission of India has given the voters the option of choosing none of the above if they don’t like any candidates.

The State Election Commission has also accepted it and in the upcoming local body elections, voters have been given the right to reject all candidates from the NOTA option if they do not like any of them.

On Thursday Social activist Atul Gamechi wearing PPE kit spread the message of NOTA at Gandhinagar Town Hall in Vadodara. In a unique way he spread the message among people to know their rights and the important option of NOTA in the upcoming local body election.

He put allegations on the election Commission for not spreading the awareness regarding NOTA and hence he start the campaign in a unique way. He said people has the right to choose good leaders who can listen to their problems and solve them. If they don’t like then the NOTA option is there and the message need to be spread before the election.

He added that the idea of wearing PPE kit is to know from the administration about the recent scenario of Corona situation in the city. The unique awareness also attract people.

As a result, a option will be kept after all the candidates in the ballot papers on the voting machines for the district, taluka panchayat, municipality and corporation. By pressing the button the voters will have the option to reject all the candidates.
