Skype will no longer support Windows Phone 8, 8.1 & old Android softwares

Online Microsoft’s video calling service Skype will not support Windows Phone 8, 8.1 and old versions of Android. Skype will only support devices running Android 4.0 and above.

Skype confirmed that, “ Devices running Windows Phone 8, Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows RT will not support Skype after October 2016. Skype recommends for Android users to update to Android and above to get all the new features.

This old versions of android and windows users can still use Skype for Web directly in their browsers after October 2016.
