Shooters from STRA won three medals in 8th West Zone Shotgun Shooting competition

Won three medals out of four awarded to Gujarat

Shooters from Savli Taluka Rifle Association won three medals out of four awarded to Gujarat in 8th West Zone Shotgun Shooting Competition. They will now represent the state in 64th National Competition.

Shooters from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Daman & Diu participated in the single trap event at 8th West Zone Shotgun Shooting Competition. They took part in the event in order to achieve qualifying scores for the upcoming 64th National Shotgun Shooting Competition, scheduled to be held at New Delhi.

A total of 8 medals were awarded in the event where shooters from Gujarat won 4 medals. Out of the four medals Savli Taluka Rifle Association won 3 medals.

14 year old, Yeshaya Contractor, resident of Dahod won the Gold Medal in Junior and Senior Women NR category, while Vishal Mehta won the Bronze Medal in the Men Open NR Category.

Seven shooters of Savli are now going to represent Gujarat at the 64th National Competition in Single Trap event.
