Shaheed Diwas: People remembering martyr Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru on social media amid lockdown

Today is Shaheed Diwas, on this day Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Shivraj Rajguru were hanged by the English. His patriotism was rebellion to the British and these three heroes were sentenced to death.

After Independence, this day was celebrated as Martyrs Day as Martyrs Day. Today those martyrs are being remembered all over the country. However, there are lockdown situations across the country to prevent the infection of Coronavirus and there are no public events taking place but people are paying tribute to these martyrs on social media.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also tweeted these martyrs.

It is said that the death penalty of these three was fixed on the morning of 24 March, but the British government, scared of the fear of any big public outrage, ended the life of these revolutionaries on the night of 23 March and in the dark of night.

There are many things related to these martyrs, which people rarely know. Just like Bhagat Singh became a freedom fighter at the age of 8 and left home at the age of 15.

When his father asked him to get married, Bhagat Singh’s reply was that if I was married in slave India then my bride would be dead. At the same time, Bhagat Singh fasted for 116 days while in jail, but during this time he did all his work himself.
