Session on Strategy of Riyaz in art Music by Dr. Rajesh Kelkar

Over 266 students and teachers from different parts of India and world participated simultaneously on three mediums at a time

Under the aegis of Dr Harisingh Gaur central University (Sagar) and Ragi Foundation (Bina), a session on ‘Strategy of Riyaz in art Music’, led by Dr. Rajesh Kelkar Head Vocal Music FPA MSU for two hours. Over 266 students and teachers from different parts of India and world participated simultaneously on three mediums at a time.

The strategy of Riyaz in Art music included the sequence in doing practice of a raga. This includes listening and appreciation of recordings of particular raga sung by great artist. Followed by understanding grammatical structure, permutation combination of notes with reference to rhythm, taans, composition and improvisation part.

Many curious students, musicians and teachers forwarded queries which were answered by Dr Rajesh Kelkar. The session last for more than two hours.
