    The state government provides nutritious food to the pregnant women and children coming to the Anganwadi. Two persons carrying a quantity of similar fortified blended composite food in the tempo were picked up by the Savli police in suspicion and conduct further investigation in the matter.

    Savli police nabbed two persons on suspicion with a tempo filled with quantity of nutritious food items to be distributed free of cost by the state government’s child development department with the intention of physically strengthening the children as well as pregnant women and girls in the Anganwadis.

    The quantity is found to be of fortified blended composite food distributed to pregnant women, children and girls under Gujarat State Operated Child Development Services Scheme. The food packets seized by the police is of Bal Shakti and Purna Shakti as well as Matrishakti by the state government.

    Currently, this suspicious quantity was seized by the police as per 41/1D. The Savli police found 590 packets of various brands worth Rs 29,700 and three-wheeled tempo worth Rs 65,000 with a total value of Rs 94,700.
