Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's dream will be fulfilled if the dam is fully filled: Vijay Rupani

With the arrival of millions of cusecs of water the Narmada Dam reached a historic level of 132.23 meters. In 2017, 30 gates have been installed at the dam after water reached 121.92 meters. After the gates now the maximum level of the dam has reached to 138.60 meters.

On Thursday night, Narmada Dam crossed the Rule Level of 131 meters and 26 gates are to release 6 lakh cusecs of water. The Narmada River crossed the danger level at Bharuch after the releasing of water. However Six of the 23 gates of the dam were closed as the water inflow dropped. On the other hand, the state Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy CM Nitin Patel had reached Kewadia to review the situation. CM Vijay Rupani said that the dam is likely to be full in the next 40 to 50 days. When the dam is fully filled, the dream that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel saw in 1848 will come true.
