Western Railway Women Welfare Organisation (WRWWO) has always rendered its best possible help to the Western Railway employees & their families. This kind gesture of support and motivation to the railway frontline staff has also been continued during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic. As a token of support, Tanuja Kansal - President of WRWWO recently distributed ‘Samvedna Rashi’ to the widows of the Western Railway's 15 Corona Warriors of frontline staff.

According to a press release issued by WR CPRO Sumit Thakur, the President handed over Samvedna Rashi of Rs 5000/- each to the 15 widows of the WR's employees of frontline staff. It is very disheartening & unfortunate that these employees lost their lives while performing their duty during the Covid pandemic.

These employees were from various fields like Ticket Checking, Ticket Booking, Loco Pilot, Guard, Fitter, Technician, Trackman and others. WRWWO ensures to always be there and support such railway employees who have gone beyond their call of duty and salutes such sincere and dedicated employees.

In her address on this occasion, Tanuja Kansal said that be it during the covid pandemic, natural calamities or serious illness, WRWWO has always empathizes with the employees and their families and is ready to reach out in all difficult and adverse times. She said that during the covid pandemic, our corona warriors without caring for their life, have sincerely carried out their duty. It is very unfortunate that while performing their duties, some of them got infected with the corona virus and lost their lives. There is no compensation to lives lost.

Kansal said that the wives of these employees have always backed their husbands and stood by them with grit and determination.
