Rutu Ataliya, a CHARUSAT alumnus receives the prestigious ‘WiCyS 2019 Scholarship’ from CISCO at USA

Rutu Ataliya, a CHARUSAT alumnus and currently an IT Graduate Assistant - Technical Analyst at University of Maryland, USA has been selected to receive the prestigious ‘WiCyS 2019 Scholarship’ by CISCO. She also has been given the opportunity to attend the highly coveted ‘Women in CyberSecurity 2019 Conference’ in Pittsburg, PA, USA as a "CISCO Student Scholar".
WiCyS or Women in Cyber Security is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to provide a platform to the women in cyber security from academia, research and industry for coming together and sharing knowledge, experience, networking and mentoring young talent. The current proportion of women in the cyber security work force is a meager 11%, a statistic that WiCyS desperately wants to smash.
By nurturing women talent from an early stage, the organization plays an instrumental role in creating awareness and interest about various aspects of the domain and career opportunities, among the budding cyber security experts.
Being a CISCO Student Scholar, Rutu will meet and interact with the inspiring and talented female professionals in the field of Cyber Security from all over the world in March 2019.
