Russian security officer killed, 5 injured as gunman opens fire near Moscow headquarters

In Russia,
an officer of the Russian FSB security service was killed and five people were
injured when a gunman opened fire near its central Moscow headquarters
yesterday.

A gunman had
opened fire outside the headquarters of the security service on Lubyanka Square
in central Moscow, before he was neutralised by the security services. The
incident came on the eve of the Day of Security Service in Russia which is
celebrated on December 20.
