The decision to ban 500 and 1000 rupees notes not only prove problems for the general public but also retired bank employees also.

Here in Vadodara a retired Bank of Baroda office boy runs from pillar to post for purchasing medicines for her heart patient wife. The only problem is that he has a 500 rupee note with him.

Residing in H-23 Chandranagar society Hasmukh Shah retired from Bank of Baroda as a office boy. His wife is a heart patient and but he faced problems at the medicine shops as they refused to take 500 notes. Not only that he faced problems in the grocery stores also.

However he experience sigh of relief after the announcement that bank opens on Thursday. Hasmukh Shah reached bank early in the morning to change his old currency into new one.

"I reached 7 am in the morning at the Waghodia Bank of Baroda branch and my number was first. I changed 5 notes of 500 and one 1000 rupee note from the bank and now I can buy Medicines for my wife and also items from the grocery shop," said Shah.
