Run for Organ donation awareness in Vadodara

With an aim to spread awareness on Organ donation and healthcare the event Solefest is ready for its second run in Vadodara on 26th November 2017. Till date 1100 registration done for the annual 'run for a cause' event and this time runners from outside Gujarat is also taking part in the special marathon.

Vadodara is also known as the sports city as it produced great sportspersons in various fields which shines in the International level. With an aim to sustain the same sporting spirit but with a cause the Solefest run is ready for its second edition. The marathon is specially organised to for the message of Organ donation and healthcare to the people.

"This year the slogan is 'Keep The Heart Beating' and the aim is to spread awareness on Organ donation. The run is of two categories - 10 kms and Half Marathon ( 21.1 kms). Runners from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Bangalore will participate and lend their support to various organizations that are engaged in the noble cause of organ donation," said Dr. Rajesh Chauhan organiser of the event.

The thought behind Solefest is live a healthy life and gift your organs after your death to make a difference in the lives of those who need it. A dedicated website ( www.solefestindia.in) is also created to answer general questions regarding organ donation.

"While running, the participants will spread the message to onlookers. Numerous and noted organ donation agencies of Vadodara are participating in this event so that the person who is interested can know more about donating organs such as eyes, kidney, heart, liver and whole body donation," said Chauhan.

The second edition of Solefest shall flag off on November 26, 2017. Registered runners shall receive a running T-shirt, finishers medal and a sumptuous breakfast after the run. There are prizes for race winners in various categories.

Solefest is powered by Spandan Multi speciality hospital, HCG cancer institute and RR Kabel.
