RSP candidate from Sayajigunj seat Rajesh Aiyre raise questions against the EVM and said the DI Port help the voters to cast their votes through Wifi facility. He said if that is true then BJP will win all seats and it’s a breach of trust with the candidates and the voters.

Rajesh Aiyre said on Friday the process of sealing the EVM was undertaking in the Convent school in Vadodara. However he raise objection on a particular connector called DI Port in the EVM and said it helps the voters to cast their vote through Wifi from their home. He said they asked the question to the election officer and in reply she said it’s for the candidates more then 12 and when they said there are only Six candidates in their seat she changed her statement and said it’s for the printing purpose. Aiyre said the two answers for one question raise suspicion and that is why they raise objection to it.

He further said they are putting lots of efforts for the last five years and the voters are giving us positive response in return. The BJP is not campaigning and now they came to know that the EVM will help them. He further said that when the BJP President said they will get 150 plus seats then with such EVM’s they can reach to 180 seats. It’s a breach of trust towards the other candidates and the voters and he is 100% sure that the EVM for Sayajigunj seat is defective and they will approach the Election Commission and if needed to the court.

On the objection raised by the RSP candidate the election officer Niyati Utsav said all the allegations are baseless and the connector is only for the printing purpose and no Wifi can be connect to it.

Two days ago Raopura Congress candidate Chandrakant Shrivastav also rasied objections against the EVM after it was sealed by the officials in the absence of Congress members.
