Using video application to organise competition and maintain social distance during lockdown

To stop the chain of Coronavirus the whole Vadodara city is under lockdown and spending their time with family at their home. However many of them are trying innovative ways to refresh themselves from this lockdown time.

Residents of Sangani Skyz comes up with a brilliant idea to utilise the lockdown time without disturbing the government notification of maintaining safe distance. Using the technology to their advantage the residents are organising competitions for the children and families through video application and judge them. They also take the topic of lockdown as their theme for the competitions.

“The idea is to kill the time with some productive work during the lockdown period of 21 days. We use the Zoom Application to connect with people live and organise competitions specially to engage children who are unable to go outside. We start with drawing competition where children draw on the theme of Lockdown and showed their creativity on sheet about what they feel during this time. The judges observe them online and ranked their performance after they upload their drawing through whatsapp,” said Krunal Trivedi member Utsav Committee Sangani Skyz.

The idea gets good response from everyone as they engage themselves with some creative work to kill their times and also maintaining distance. “The idea is a hit as many families joined us live in the competition and shows their creativity. We are organising a comic TikTok video completion for them soon and also planing for a cooking competition specially for male members of the family,” said Trivedi.

Presently they are organising the competition among their members and if possible try to involve other people in coming days.
