The residents living in the JNNURM housing scheme in Maneja at Vadodara demand to give basic amenities to the corporation. On Tuesday they gives a memorandum to the municipal commissioner along with the Congress leaders and asked for quick resolution of their demands.

The displaced from various parts of the city were accommodated in the residential scheme at Maneja. However the residents complained of not getting the basic amenities of water, drainage and roads there and also the ceiling of the houses are leaking.

Leader of opposition Chandrakant Shrivastav said the 500 odd displaced from Kalyannagar slums are accommodated at the JNNURM housing scheme at Maneja and till waiting for the basic facilities. The houses are also in bad shape with water leakage from the ceiling.

The residents on Tuesday approached the municipal commissioner along with the Congress leaders and gives a memorandum to him. One of the resident Maheshbhai said they lives there for the last two years but the condition of the houses are bad there. They are still waiting for the basic amenities and demand the corporation to provide them at the earliest.
