Distributed nest boxes and feeder plates for birds to the senior citizens.

Ali Asgar Vohra research scholar from Vadodara along with his wife Rukaiya celebrate the 70th Republic Day in a unique way. They distributed nest boxes and feeder plates for birds to the senior citizens and make sure the little birdie spread the wings more freely.

Under *Conservation of House Sparrow* project Aliasgar and Rukaiya Vohra had distributed Cardboard Nest boxes and Feeder plates for birds at *Athashri (India’s Largest Senior Living Community)* at Nimeta in outskirts of Vadodara city. Both of them gets a overwhelming response from the organiser Resident Manager Dr. Saloni Sant and supported by residents.

Aliasgar Vohra is doing Research in Department of Zoology, The M.S University of Baroda. "Its a life time experience for us as we celebrate the 70th Republic day with the senior citizens and understand our responsibility towards saving the little birdie. I briefly explained them the strategies for conserving sparrows and breeding. The society residents named us Sparrow Loving couple as 'Chako and Chaki" said Vohra.

Earlier he set an example before the society by distributing sparrow houses to the guests during his marriage ceremony. Later one of his friends celebrate his daughter's first birthday in the same way in the city. The couple make sure the little birdie get new homes and spread the wings freely.
