Reports of Kia, Atali, Reliance Township and Sindhrot bird deaths reported bird flu negative

Lab reports of recent bird deaths in various places in Vadodara district have come negative of bird flu. Earlier, the report was positive only in the case of Vasanpura in Savli taluka.

Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Dr. Prakash Darji said that recently deaths of 57 pigeons in Kia village of Karjan taluka, 22 pigeons in Atali village, 2 peacocks in Reliance Township and chicken in Sindhrot village poultry farm came to light in Vadodara district.

Samples of dead birds were collected and sent to the National Laboratory of Animal Diseases, Bhopal for testing. All these samples have been declared bird flu negative in the appropriate test.
