RBI cuts repo rate by 25 basis points to 6.5 %

The RBI cut the repo rate by 25 basis points to a five year low of 6.5%, the lowest since January 2011 in its bi-monthly monetary policy review meeting on Tuesday.

With this step it will so effective to every citizen who pays EMI for home loans every month and people who wants to borrow a Housing loan.

The RBI has reduced the minimum daily maintenance of the cash reserve ratio (CRR) from 95% of the requirement to 90% with effect from the fortnight beginning April 16, 2016
