Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ biopic has been buzzing ever since the film was announced. More recently the film has been making headlines for Ranbir Kapoor’s stellar resemblance to Sanjay Dutt.
After treating the audience with an 85-second teaser of the interesting life journey of Bollywood Superstar Sanjay Dutt, Rajkumar Hirani has now been releasing a series of look posters from the film.
The latest to hit cine buffs is Sanjay Dutt’s iconic look from the 90’s era. The newest poster of Sanju showcases Ranbir Kapoor donning long tresses a la Sanjay Dutt.
The looks give a deja vu to some of Sanjay Dutt’s most loved films like Saajan and Aatish from the 90’s.
The look traces back to Sanjay Dutt’s muscular days, with the actor making a statement with his bulked-up body and distinctive locks. A glimpse of a Sanju in his early 30’s.
Sharing the 2nd look poster, Rajkumar Hirani wrote on social media, “Here is Ranbir as #Sanju in the 90’s. #RanbirKapoor #RajkumarHiraniFilms @VVCFilms @foxstarhindi”.
Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial, Sanju traces the journey of highs and lows of Bollywood Superstar Sanjay Dutt. Coming from a family of cinema legends, he himself became a film star, and then saw dizzying heights and darkest depths: adulation of diehard fans, unending battles with various addictions, brushes with the underworld, prison terms, loss of loved ones, and the haunting speculation that he might or might not be a terrorist.
Sanju is in turns a hilarious and heartbreaking exploration of one man’s battle against his own wild self and the formidable external forces trying to crush him.
Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh and Boman Irani.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju is Produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios, slated to release on 29th June, 2018.
