The Department of Labour and Employment of the State Government provides significant assistance in the recruitment of eligible candidates in the Indian Army from Gujarat. The local employment office cooperated a lot in the current recruitment as per the tradition.

During the ten day recruitment process, the staff of the office appeared on the ground at 3.30 am and assisted the Air Force staff in the process including verification of the documents of the candidates present. Thus recruitment could be carried out very easily.

Candidates were provided breakfast, food packets, water bottles by the office in addition to assisting in tasks like verification of candidates with thermal guns, pulse oximeter check.

The medical team was also present in case of any emergency. Air Force officials applauded the collaborative approach of the state government and the employment office.

Yashraj Singh Parmar with a enthusiasm to serve the country came all the way from Surendranagar to joined the Indian Air Force and participate in Air Man recruitment rally in Vadodara. There was enthusiasm in the mind and the confidence to be an air soldier.

He carefully brought along all the necessary documents. But at the time of checking the documents a problem arise which stuck everything. He did not have the original 12th grade marksheet and needed it for verification as per the strict rules of the Air Force.

Yashraj remembered that the original copy was deposited at the time of admission in the college and has not been returned yet. He was confused and fearing that the recruitment opportunity would go out of hand and feel helpless. Finally, he brought the matter before the officer of the help desk started by the employment office at the place of recruitment.

The officer understood his point and interacted with the Air Force recruiting officers. He was convinced that the young man’s troubles were real. Finally, after talking to the concerned college authorities, it was decided to get the marksheet from the college through WhatsApp.

A copy of the marksheet was obtained and the employment officer understood the nuances of the situation and the difficulty of the qualified candidate and certified the copy at the insistence of the Air Force officials. The Air Force Recruiting Officer approved the arrangement on the condition that he submit the original marksheet later.

Yashraj Singh passed the written test, physical test and other tests. And his primary choice took the seal of approval. He is now scheduled to join the Air Force if he succeeds in the scheduled medical examination.

He heartily thanked and applauded the officers of the Vadodara Employment Office for their support and Air Force officers for cooperation in accepting a reasonable solution to the problem.
