After the heavy rains in Vadodara the local administration fails to remove the wastage in and around Bajwa village which resulting in the death of a pregnant woman. One a half year old innocent girl lost her mother and the whole village turned up in the last rights of the pregnant woman.

Kanchan Daima 26 living in Navdurga society near Bajwa railway crossing was eight months pregnant and admitted in a private hospital after suffering from fever four days ago. The local hospital gives her the Swine Flu medicine but with no improvement she was taken to the private hospital but referred to the SSG hospital after doctors there declared her condition as critical.

The family took the pregnant woman to the SSG in a critical condition where the doctors on duty again examined her and confirmed as dengue fever. The doctors immediately start her treatment but she died on Monday 5pm in the evening.

The one and half year old lost her mother and her cries melt the hearts of the people joined in the last rights of the woman. The residents also showed their anger against the administration for failed in the cleanliness drive at the village.

Her brother Devsinhbhai said and accused that her sister died due to the village administration and the doctors who gave her swine flu medicine instead of dengue fever. He also said that he is eagerly waiting for the Rakshbandhan festival but now who will tied Rakhi on his wrist.

Social worker from Bajwa area said that in the last one week three persons died due to dengue. They approached the local village administration for cleanliness after the rains but nothing was done till date and the area becomes the epicentre of various diseases including dengue. He also added that if not also the administration wake up then the situation might be more dangerous in the coming days.
