A portion of a ground-plus five-storey structure near Khar Gymkhana collapsed in Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon.The structure has been identified as Pooja building at 17th Road at Khar West.
The incident occurred at around 1:15 pm on Tuesday when a part of the staircase collapsed.All the agencies, including the fire brigade, police, ambulance service were rushed to the spot.
There was no casualty or injury to any person in the incident. The reason behind what may have caused the collapse is yet to be ascertained. Rescue operations are underway.
