Joined duty after beating Corona, fell ill again, Corona’s report came negative
The entire Vadodara city and district is saddened by the death of SI Arvind Thorat, who has a mastery in detecting burglary cases and was awarded the President’s Medal for outstanding performance.
Arvind Thorat was admitted in hospital for treatment after tested Corona positive and rejoined duty after get healthy. He was on duty at the control room. Meanwhile he fell ill and had been undergoing treatment for the last two days in a private hospital. His death shocked the police department as they lost decorated police jawan.
Three police officers and one ASI who performed excellently during their duties in Vadodara city was awarded the President’s Medal. The officers include former Joint Commissioner of Police Kesarisinh Bhati, the then A.C.P. Ajay Gakhar (currently retired), the then Assistant Director of ACB, P.R. Gehlaut and Arvind Thorat, currently serving as Assistant Sub-Inspector in city police.
A.S.I. Arvind Thorat has so far solved more than 1,000 undetected crimes, including theft. Whether it is the high-profile Sahani kidnapping and murder case in Pune outside Gujarat or the most wanted accused in Madhya Pradesh, he performed his duty with dedication.
