Jawan died with serious head injuries during treatment, accused arrested

A shocking case of violation of lockdown rules and fatally hurting a on duty police trainee comes to light in Vadodara. As per police FIR the accused intentionally caused fatal serious injuries to the police trainee after speeding his vehicle and jumped a speed breaker in the Nizampura area of the city.

The trainee was pillion riding behind him and both are heading to Fategunj police station to register a complaint for violation of curfew rules imposed in the city. The police jawan died on Wednesday night.

According to police FIR, Kushwant Ravindrasingh Dhotra (B/6, Shreemai Krupa Society, Near Roses garden old Chhani road) was caught by onduty policemen at Fategunj circle for moving outside during curfew hours. While asking he failed to produce any valid permit and reason which clearly showed violation of the lockdown rules.

Later a police trainee Pratik Ramesh Solanki (81, Juni Ramwadi), was asked to take the rider to Fategunj police station to register a complaint against him. Both were heading to Fategunj police station when Dhotra suddenly speeding up near Ghelani petrol pump on Nizampura road.

As per FIR he continue to ride in the same speed inspite of well aware about the serious consequences. He intentionally drive in such a way to fatally hurt the onduty police trainee pillion riding with him.

The FIR further mentioned that, one Mohit Prajapati street light mechanic informed them about the rider fled from the spot left behind the injured police trainee. The greviously injured jawan was shifted to SSG hospital for treatment.

Later he was shifted to Neurosurgical hospital at Sunpharma road where he died during treatment on Wednesday night. His last rights are performed on Thursday.

Police registered a case and arrested the accused in the matter. A pall of gloom spread in Vadodara police department.
