In order to get the information of the passengers taking shelter in the hotels of the city, the police has issued a notification in all the hotels, lodges, guesthouses to keep the record by using the Pathik software in the computer at the reception counter.
The online registration of the passengers are mandatory. However, police have arrested three hotel managers for violating the notification by not registering a single passenger online for the past one month.
Anti-social elements seek refuge in hotels to escape from the police. SOG Police is constantly working to maintain security and peace in the city and taking measures to ensure the safety of the residents.
They also issued strict guidelines for the managers and responsible persons of hotels, lodges, guesthouses, which provide accommodation to the passengers in Vadodara city, to keep the online registration of entries by installing the pathik software provided by the police in the computer with internet connection at the reception counter. But still some hotels, guest houses and lodges are showing negligence in registration.
The SOG team on Tuesday conduct checking and found negligence by three more managers in the city to maintain the enteries. Police checked at the Veronica Hotel, located next to the Himalaya Cancer Hospital on Jetalpur Road and found the computer kept on the counter had not registered in the software for the last one month. So police registered a case against hotel manager Kalpeshbhai Baria (Resident of Sainath Park Society, Gotri Road, Vadodara) under GPA 131 and took legal action.
Police also conducted a check at Bansal Hotel near Lalita Tower in Alkapuri area. The computer placed at the reception counter of the hotel was found to have not entered any customer during the month of December. So the police registered a case against the manager Rajeshbhai Suchak (Resides at Shivam Society, next to Lalbagh Gate, Manjalpur, Vadodara) for violating the declaration. Gotri police is further investigating in both the above matters.
Similarly, the computer of the Sweet Dreams Hotel on the first floor of the Cams Corner building in Fatehganj area had not registered any customer for the last one month. So the police registered a case against the manager Akbar Ali Nandolia (Resides at Sweet Dream Hotel, Fatehganj and originally from Patan) for violating the declaration. Sayajiganj police had started further investigation in this regard.
