In view of protest against Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 strict police deployment is kept at the sensitive areas in Vadodara. Police also conduct foot in the city areas to maintain peace.

A social media message goes viral about Gujarat Bandh in view of protest against CAB, strict police deployment is kept and the teams conduct foot march in city police station area like Panigate, Junigadi, Yakutpura, Adaniyapul, Fatepura, Hathikhana on Thursday morning.

Shops in Muslim dominated areas are closed and police is keeping a strict watch on the activities to maintain peace specially in sensitive areas.

On Wednesday night posters showing 'Main CAB NRC ka purzor virodh karta hu' comes up at many places in Vadodara. Police kept a strict vigil in sensitive areas and question people regarding the message viral on social media.

Strict police deployment was kept at sensitive areas like Mandvi, Panigate, Fatehpura, Yakutpura and Machipith areas of Vadodara since morning. Police teams conduct foot march in the areas to ensure peace and keeping a tab on activities. The posters were also romoved by the police late night after the message spread.

On Wednesday night a message of Muslim leaders appealed for a bandh on Thursday in protest of CAB goes viral in social media. The message read for a peaceful closure of shops and business establishments. Police comes into action in view of the the message to trace the source. Police Commissioner Anupam Sinh Gahlaut clarifies that no Muslim organisation called for bandh in Vadodara and the teams question more than 50 persons regarding the viral message. Nearly 2000 policemen are deployed in the areas to strictly monitoring the situation and maintain peace.
