Police detained Congress supporters before they give memorandum to CM

Vadodara police detained district Congress members after they support the farmers agitation and tried to give memorandum to the CM during the ongoing Chintan Shibir. Irked by that the Congress supporters sit on the road and shouted slogans against the government.

Due to the ongoing farmers agitation in different states the Vadodara Taluka Congress on Friday went to the GSFC and tried to give a memorandum to CM in support of the agitation. Taluka President Jayendrasinh Parmar along with other members of the Congress gathered near the GSFC along with farmers from Undera, Sankheda and Sankarda to give a memorandum to CM during the ongoing Chintan Shibir.

However as soon as they went ahead the police detained around 10 of the Co press members along with the President. Irked by the action the Congress supporters sit on the road and disrupt the traffic on National Highway. They shouted slogans against the government and later taken away by the police.

Dilip Bhatt General Secretary district Congress said the Gujarat government is not listening to the pleas of the farmers who are agitating for long. He also threaten for aggressive protest in future if the government failed to solve the issues of farmers.
