    The police complaint has been lodged at the Desar police station about a theft took place at Nilkantheshwar Mahadev temple on the outskirts of Aankaliya village in Desar taluka of Vadodara district. A complaint alleging that a thief stole silver canopy worth Rs 69,562 per kg from the temple.

    According to the complaint filed by the village sarpanch, the Nilkantheshwar Mahadev temple in Ankaliya village is always open. Rajendrasinh Anopsinh Parmar of the village and other men of the village go to the temple every morning and evening to perform Aarti Puja.

    Yesterday evening as per routine they went to be temple for puja and return home. However in the morning they were shocked to see the silver canopy missing over the Shivling. They informed the others in the village and later informed the Desar police about the theft inside the temple. Police are conducting further investigations into the incident based on the complaint.
