Police arrest five VMSS men who beat up locals on Saturday

Five VMSS encrochment team who beat up local people mercilessly on Saturday was arrested by police on Sunday. A report was registered by the local residents and acting on that the police recognise the one who physically beat the residents during demolition drive by the VMSS on Saturday. The five were arrested by Gorwa police and further investigation is on.

On Saturday the VMSS encrochment team got berserk and beat up local resident of Ellora park mercilessly after they trying to intervene in their work. Instead of talking to them the VMSS encrochment team start fighting and then beating the locals mercilessly. The whole thing was captured by the local news cameraman who was also attacked by the VMSS team and they slapped the cameraman and damaged his camera.

Later in the evening the complainant Pinky Agrawal registered a police complaint at Gorwa police station. In her complaint she named Amar Kahar, Harish Kahar, Siddharth Kahar and VMSS labour Manharbhai for abused her and fighting with her family members. She mentioned in her complaint that when they protested to demolish the structures including her shop and asked them to begin from the start.

But the VMSS team started fighting with her and using foul language against her. When her brothers, brother in law and servant tried to stop they start beating them up first their servant. The accused Siddharth Kahar picked up a pipe from her shop and beat him. When they intervene Amar Kahar start fighting with the complainant and pushed her. Siddharth Kahar, Harish Kahar and Manharbhai then beat her brother Mukesh and fractured his right hand.

The Gorwa police swung into action and based on the complaint access the video footage and arrested the accused after identifying them. The police booked them under IPC 323, 325, 354, 114 and GP Act 135 and further investigation is on.
