PM Narendra Modi lays foundation stone of AIIMS & Fertilizer Plant at Gorakhpur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Gorakhpur today, on 22nd July 2016 to lay the foundation stone for the new AIIMS and fertilizer plant.

PM Modi was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on his arrival at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for the revival of a fertilizer plant in Gorakhpur. This fertilizer plant expected to create up to 4,000 jobs and to produce urea for the farmers of Uttar Pradesh.

Narendra Modi also laid the foundation stone for new All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) at Gorakhpur. It will be built on cost of Rs 1,011 crore. Which will have 150 operation theaters and 750 beds.

PM said in the occasion, “ You have elected a Government that works. The second green revolution will take place in eastern India, including here in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Why should fertilizer plants be shut and youth not have jobs. And to add to that fertilizer be imported from abroad. This is not acceptable.”

Currently this years Urea production of India estimated to rise to 25 million tonnes in 2016-17 year. The total yearly demand of 32 million tonnes in India. Indian Government balances the need of urea through imports.

With PM Narendra Modi, Health Minister J P Nadda, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kalraj Mishra, Fertiliser Minister Ananth Mishra, Minister of State for Power and Coal Piyush Goyal, UP Governor Ram Naik, BJP MP Yogi Adityanath and many others were present in the occasion.
